In New Delhi, the BJP held a rally in Burari to express gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for decisions such as resuming land mutation in rural villages and eliminating the requirement for no objection certificates for power connections in certain parts of the city. Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva described these actions as a "Diwali gift" for residents of villages and unauthorized colonies. He credited the resolution of these longstanding issues to the efforts of his party's MPs in meeting with LG VK Saxena. Sachdeva highlighted the removal of the need for departmental NOCs for electricity connections in unauthorized colonies and non-conforming areas of Delhi, as well as the reopening of property mutations after two decades.

AAP countered BJP's claims, accusing them of taking credit for the Delhi government's work and attempting to mislead the public. They pointed out that Delhi offers the cheapest electricity in the country and questioned why none of the 22 BJP-ruled states provide free electricity. Sachdeva emphasized that the BJP was dedicated to addressing the needs of Delhi's residents, especially the elderly who were previously unable to pass on their properties to their children due to restrictions. He highlighted the removal of mutation restrictions and the elimination of DDA's NOC requirement for electricity connections in unauthorized colonies. Sachdeva expressed confidence in BJP's prospects in the upcoming February elections and promised to extend electricity and water subsidies to middle-class households.Prioritizing the implementation of the Prime Minister's housing scheme, Ayushman Bharat, and the regularization of temporary workers such as home guards, bus marshals, and guest teachers will be the main focus. Sachdeva emphasized that no slum colonies would be demolished without offering alternative housing to the residents under the BJP government. Additionally, he mentioned that the Nirmal Yamuna Plan aims to make the Yamuna pollution-free within a year.
